Chamber
Because of its intimate nature, chamber music has been described as “music of friends.” ROCO continues the tradition of small ensembles performing in intimate environments, allowing listeners to enjoy the subtleties of the musical conversation among the musicians and between musicians and audience.

Master
Area high school music students have an opportunity to receive instruction, information and inspiration from
ROCO musicians for the Texas All State Etudes and then attend ROCO’s evening performance. River Oaks Chamber Orchestra musicians hail from the US and Canada, are professors at the University of Texas, Baylor University, University of Colorado, University of Houston, and are highly sought after teachers and performers in the US and abroad. |

Tuesday, October 27, 2009, 6:00-7:30pm, at Lawndale Art Center, 4912 Main Street, Houston, TX 77002. Performances begin at 6:30pm. Admission is free.
Join us for an evening of celebration and remembrance. During Día de los Muertos families create ofrendas or altars to remember and honor the memory of their ancestors. ROCO and Musiqa will present short original contemporary, classic compositions as musical ofrendas. Inprint will also present original readings written in the tradition of making an offering during the Día de los Muertos celebrations. This event is a partnership between ROCO, Inprint, Musiqa, The Mexican Consulate of Houston and Lawndale Art Center.

Please join us for a magical chamber music recital overlooking the beautiful Diana Garden. Enjoy pastries, fruit, cider & coffee inside a festive Terrace Tent. The mansion will open at half past nine for you to take a peek at the 2009 Yuletide exhibit and will reopen for thirty minutes following the concert. |

Bring the concert experience into your own home by hosting a private Salon Concert. A large space is not required. Host a memorable affair for you and your guests and bring chamber music into the intimate environment for which it was written.
Upstairs with
A special series of complimentary, intimate concerts for Enthusiast level donors and above. Featuring one or two musicians, fine wine, and hors d’oeuvres, concerts take place upstairs at ROCO’s West Gray office on select Tuesdays throughout the concert season.
