Instrument: Flute & Piccolo

Originally from: Grosse Pointe, MI

Now reside in: Houston, TX

Birthday: November 17

How did you get started? I began to play at 12 because we had a young woman living with us that played the flute. I fell in love with the sound of it and asked if I could play her instrument. She obliged and I began in a wonderful public school music program.

What do you do when you’re not playing with ROCO?
I teach at the University of Houston, perform with my Trio Angelico and enjoy as much time as possible with my family and friends.

What are you listening to on your iPod? An eclectic variety of music from Bach to Brazilian songs, Classical to R&B... My favorite today is the Bach, Sonatas played by flutist, Emmaunel Pahud.

Personal info: I love being married to and sharing my heart and life with Joe Teague. We live in the artsy Montrose area of Houston with our dog, Shanti and cat, Max. Joe is the owner of and wonderful teacher at Third Coast Pilates (www.thirdcoastpilates.com). I have two sisters I adore, a twin sister who lives in the Denver Area and a younger sister who lives near Boston. I am also the proud aunt of 2 nieces, Sophia and Marisa, and 2 nephews, Julian and Gabriel.

Question you're asked most often: How tall are you? Answer: Pretty close to 6 feet!

Interests outside music: I love to read and to write and create things from my ideas and thoughts on teaching. I enjoy yoga, pilates, dancing, walking with my dog and all forms of art. Being in, breathing in Nature!!!
